Week 28 in Mexico

San Vicente

Jeff is already prego.... no way, what are they thinking? haha Whatever, that just seems weird to me. But that’s cool, I will have some little kids to come back and play with. Well, this week we ate something called tinga... and it burned my mouth and my comp’s . . . haha. It was pretty funny. Everyone was freaking out. But we ate ice cream after so its all good.

Well, something I have noticed lately here is that the culture is so different. What you would never see there in the US you see here. For example; a 60 year old guy with a pretty good gut, walking around without a shirt on in the street. This is something so common here. We go to eat lunch with some members and the husband is just sitting there with his shirt off like its no big deal haha. But I love it. And I am thinking about getting a new plaque made with Mahas written with a j . . . like Majas, so that they pronounce it right. It kind of bugs me haha. But yeah, so we will see if that works out.

Well, we are going to marry a couple this week and they already told us they want to get baptized. You really can see the change in them. It’s awesome. And we have a guy here that helps us marry the people easier. We are praying so that goes through.

Well, conference was the bomb and we were working all week to bring people to the conference. We brought four people and they loved it. Holland killed it once again but that’s not new. I thought it was going to be some weird talk about porn, but he killed it. I loved when he said, "imagine the people that you love most, and how they would feel if you sinned." I am so glad to have a family I love and really I am trying to keep all the rules because I don’t want to let any of you down. That is actually something that is said in my patriarchal blessing. It says don’t ever do anything that would let your Mom down, or something like that. Really that is what pushes me to be better and better. And I loved also what Holland said "a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step, SO WATCH YOUR STEP." I thought that was pretty cool. I loved the one that talked about the mother’s love and how that is so important. I cant even start to explain how thankful I am for you Mom and the love that you show me every single day.

Well, my exercise is a little shaky right now but really I need to kick it in the butt and stop eating so much crap. I have gained a little bit of weight but not that much. The clothes are doing alright. The pants with the cuffs bug me so much because they don’t stay sewed up and they are all over the place so I hardly use them.

I watched part in English and part in Spanish of the conference.

Happy birthday to Grandma Mahas.

Mike, happy birthday. I love you so very much and all I can say is I know that god put you into this world as my older brother to show me the way. Without you I don’t know where I would be here right now. I wouldn’t be doing all the right things. Because of your example I am where I am and I don’t regret that. I love you so very much and I wish we could go out knocking doors one day. That would be sweet. Well, like I told you I am waiting for my little niece or nephew . . . haha.

I don’t have much time but I love you all and keep up the good work. See you before ya know it.
