Week 23 in Mexico

San Vicente

Well Meg, to start out I think your invitation is pretty dope. Some of them can be so ugly and I don’t even know where they get these weird ideas. But ya, it looks good to me. Haha that church of Tay’s looks pretty dope. Wow, I don’t know if that Chris kid will ever go. He has been in four years!!!! Wow. Well I hope he gets the guts to finally go.

Oh ya, you got to love the features of the St. George house. Ya, I knew that feature of the mirror/window. Because I was brushing my teeth and I heard something like a bird pecking on a window. I thought it was a cockroach or something. I opened it up and the bird almost flew in the house and it freaked me out so bad, haha good times in St. Gizzle.

Haha have fun with all your honor classes, I wasn’t smart enough to get into Felt’s class. And I kinda didn’t want to do honors, I was pretty lazy. But keep it up because it will look better on your applications.

Ya, I really can’t wait until I come back and can watch Jess rip it up on the court. That will be so much fun to be back in the Oly gym but, sitting in the stands will be weird. Actually no, because I sat in the bench the whole game, I will just be sitting a few rows higher haha screaming with dad, “oh, come on ref” haha I always loved that.

My only suggestion for Anna is to keep going to the temple and feeling the spirit there. I miss it so much and wish that I could go every week. But one thing I would want Anna to do is to take every single principle and break it down very simply. For example;

PMG lesson 1- Principle 1
God is our loving Heavenly Father.
-he loves us and wants to communicate with us
-body of flesh and bones

Genesis 1:27
What does God want for you? Why?

Something like that…… break down every principle very simply and have one or two scriptures in mind. This will help you so much. Even though it seems like you already know the doctrine, you will think differently when you start teaching it. And put one or two questions in there too so that they think and meditate what are you saying and so that you know that they understand. Have a scripture memorized for every principle so that you can be ready to teach under any circumstance. That is one thing that the elder from the 70 said that we should be able to teach under any situation or circumstance. So I would say work on that. Practice with Mike because he knows the way that it should be taught.

Well the weather is good here. There was a tornado or something in Chile and they said it was going to come up here close to us but it never did. One of the members here left his home and went inland because he was so scared. Ya, mom we go to member’s houses every day to eat. And my comp and I decided that this is the best area ever because our areas are right on the freeway and we are always hitch hiking (taking rides) and all the gringos that live here see us. And they get out of there car and run and give us 50 bucks!!!! We have counted, in total we have received about 1750 pesos in total from people giving us Money!!!! Haha I have a 50 right now in my wallet and I have no idea what we are going to do. But ya, our area is dope. And we have a sister in our Ward that is unreal. She literally goes out contacting people and has given us a few references and really is one of a kind. Haha I love her… hermana nico..and every time I talk to people and they don’t want to hear our message or talk about their religions it just testifies to me more and more of how real our message is. And how everyone else is living in apostasía…. Haha that’s what they say a lot down here. But so many people don’t even know what the Bible says and they say that they believe in it. In one contact we talked about the Book of Mormon and she said she had her Bible. I explained that the Bible talks about the Book of Mormon and how Christ said he would visit others. And I asked her if Christ talked about this book don’t you think it would be important to have it??? she said yes, then I said so can we come to your house one day to share it with you. She said no, I have the Bible….APOSTASIA…!!!!! Haha and she said she was going to ask her pastor about this book to see what he thinks. Then we said why don’t you ask God… and she’s like ya, I could do that but first I will ask my preacher… Wow, I was about ready to (plancharle) (it translates into iron her, but it means put her in her place) iron her. Haha I love that saying. Anyway just so many people don’t understand. But we have found a few people who have already received their answer about Jose Smith and they are progressing but they aren’t married!!!! So we have to see if they really want to get married or not then go through that whole process. It’s a little frustrating that EVERY SINGLE COUPLE IS JUST HOOKED UP! But whatever, that’s the way it is.

I love you all so much and I am thankful for your prayers for me. I know that I couldn’t do this without you. Keep doing what’s right. I didn’t even remember I had seven months today, ya kinda forget... haha but it has gone by way toooo fast. Well I am going to try to send some pics and write the Fellas AGAIN.... haha just kidding mom.

Love you so much,

Elder Mahas

Oh ya, I forgot to tell you that last Monday after I wrote you I threw up from the crap that I ate.... haha. Don’t worry mom, I called the pres and his wife gave me some pills to take and I am all better now.

Me and Elder Rodriguez.

Baptisms from the last change . . .

The one with the beard is one of my favorite converts and has the coolest story. We have to come back to see him.

That’s Dorflin on the right when we went to hard rock.

My new comp, Elder Cruz.

One of the gringos that lives down here and feeds us every week...he is sweeeeett.
