Well I don’t know where to start this week. We did baptized the little chubby kid that makes me laugh all the time.
This week I finished the bom and I prayed and asked again to have a stronger testimony and this morning as I was reading true to the faith I found my answer and I felt the spirit testify to me that this book contains the word of god and that joe smith was a prophet. I really felt like my testimony was diminishing about the bom and joe smith cause I hadn’t asked for a while but this morning I felt that burning in my heart and I know that this book is true!!!!!
We were also in comp study this week and we felt like we didn’t really feel very pumped for the baptism of adalberto. We just kindof felt like it was another baptism. We studied the talk of uchtdord, pride and the priesthood and we felt way bad. We were basically thinking in ourselves. We got down on our knees and we repented as a companionship, which I had never really done before. And after this day we have felt the power of the holy ghost closer to us and with us in the lessons. It is amazing what can happen if we recongnize our weaknesses.
Also we have been working together since the start of the change to have more charity. And we have been trying not to judge others because that is what missionaries tend to do with other missionaries. Like everyone starts talking about a certain missionary and his weaknesses when we don’t see our own weeknesses. And really we have seen a change in ourselves. The spirit warns us quicker if we are about to judge someone. Because we have been asking for that and I really have seen a change and really a desire to love everyone. I think this is something that we often forget, and we judge others and talk about them behind their backs.
We are also going to have the baptism this week of Guadalupe. She is sweet and I think she remembers more than I do when she reads the bom or the pamphlets. she told us that her goal is to go to the temple. We taught her about the temple the other day and she loved it and cant wait to go in a year. !!!!her husband is going to church again. I will have so send pics….
I am also reading Jesus the Christ and it could be the sweetest book ever. I just read today about how he passed through Samaria and he asked for water. But all of a sudden he wasn’t thirsty anymore and he forgot about himself and began to teach because he recognized that this was an important moment to teach. We sacrificed himself every single second of his life to do his fathers will. I think this book will help me to understand more of my patriarchal blessing when it says you will admire the determination of the savior and his disposition to do the will of his father. I think it will help me to become more as Christ is. It has helped me also to understand better the life of Christ and why he did what he did.
I am going to start the bom again but his time focusing on charity. I will underline everything that has to do with that. I love this cause you see everything in a different way when you study looking for a certain thing.
Well I love you all so much and I thank you for your prayers and your fasting. I am counting down the weeks.. I have like 14 I think!!!!! That is nothing. But I am going to finish strong. Your right mom, I am going to die when I have to leave the mission. It will be so hard to leave all this behind.
