Week 81 in Mexico

Well, it actually turns out that I am not in my same area. I am in the area where the zone leaders were when I was here but it is the same Ward. The first day we went and ate with one of the people that I found and was going to baptize but I got changed and didn't see her get baptized but that was way cool to see her again active in the church and her daughter got baptized like a month ago.

Well, Elder Ortiz has really surprised me and he knows how to teach really well. He has a lot of potential. He is going to be a great missionary. 

This first week was kind of crazy. A family that just reciently got baptized before I had all been baptized except for the mom. She wanted to but she has problems with the word of wisdom. So on Saturday, we found out that her 8 year old daughter was missing!!!! So we started to looking for her a nothing came up. We went to the house of the family and he knelt down and said a prayer. After the prayer my comp and I felt really calm and we knew everything was going to be alright. So that night she came back home!!! The next day the mom went to church and told us that she wants to get baptized and that she had promised to God that she would stop doing what she is doing with the word of wisdom if her daughter came back. So she said she is going to stop today and she wants to get baptized!!! We are going tomorrow to put a date with her. Her name is Yolanda. She needs your prayers. And before all this happened she worked in a hotel and she wasn't able to go to the church because she worked on Sundays. But it is amazing how the Lord works . . . her work wouldn't let her leave to go look for her daughter. So she left and now she quit that job and is looking for another one. So she will be able to go to church.

And we found another one. We contacted someone and we went to her house but we weren't sure which house it was so we asked her neighbor. And we both felt that we needed to go back with her. The contact wasn't even there. But we talked with her neighbor named Yeseña. And it turns out that she has a cousin who is a member and she was listening to the missionaries a long time ago and she was going to get baptized but she left on vacation and when she came back she never saw the missionaries again. This was like 10 years ago. So she went to church on Sunday and I was talking to her about baptism and then I had to leave for a sec and she asked my comp, "What do O have to do to be baptized?" and my comp told her that she needs to go to church one more time and that we would prepare her. She said that she feels incomplete without the baptism that she took!!!! She is going to change her day off the go to churhc!!!! Golden. Pray for her. Because I feel like satan is trying even harder now to trip up those who are about to enter in the door.
