Well this week was a long week with many things to do. We knocked like all week looking for people but we hardly found any. I know that the Lord is testing us so that we can become stronger. I don't know where it came from but I smelt the other day the smell of banana laffy taffy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh-- you have to send me some stat! No, I still have not received your packages but I should get them tomorrow in the conference. So I will let you know this week coming up. I am trying to teach my comp English but it is so hard because he knows absolutely nothing. But little by little he is getting there.
Ok, I usually don't paragraph my paper but I guess I will now just to make it easier and Meg you can grade me, I know I suck. Mrs. Allred taught me nothing.
Ok, so this week we went to teach a less active that has not gone to church for like 10 years and has been studying with the Jehovahs Witnesses. So we went over there with all the scriptures to (planch) her... that basically means so her whats up, but plachar means to iron like a shirt so basically they are saying to iron her... anyways we got there and explained everything to her and she understood really well and it was way cool.. then she asked us why the elders only talked about the BOM when they taught her, and we explained it and then she said ok, then why did they baptize me before I had all that knowledge of the Bible. I was so pumped in that moment because I knew a perfect scripture in the bible for that.. so I tell her to go to Acts 8:37 but in the Jehovahs Witness bible(or whatever that thing is) and she went there and I told her to read it and she paused and said "its not there"... hahhahaha I knew that that scripture was not there in their bible so I went to it and she just sat there and was so confused and she realized how crappy that book of theirs is, because it doesn't even say bible on the cover in the first place. So after we started talking about the BOM and she is going to read parts of the Book of Mormon to get that testimony back that she once had.. just kind of a funny/sweet experience because she is starting to hear us again and her husband is thinking about getting baptized.!!
Also another thing, I realized that it takes so much effort in the lessons to be in tune with the spirit and requires a constant effort on our part, and sometimes as missionaries we forget that and get comfortable with how we are. But I felt this week so strongly the spirit with me and he was testifying to the person that what he brought was true. . in a talk called the 'Divine Companionship' Elder Holland says that the father and the son can be there too teaching and testifying of what we have said. So basically we are teaching with the real teachers. But it doesn't just come we have to earn it, with obedience and many other things. And if we fulfill with all these things we can have the divine companionship!!! That is unreal.
Right now I am starting to read part of the Old Testament and New Testament and the BOM at the same time. Really there is not enough time to do it all. But I want to read them all...What I am doing for every chapter is writing a summary, and then how I can apply the story to an investigator and an experience I have had about whatever the chapter is talking about and then I apply to me as a missionary. So then I can be more useful as a servant of the Lord and ready to give an answer. My pres always says that we need to study continuously so that the spirit has many tools to choose from when he works through us and tells us what to do. So I am trying to do that so that many a story I read in the Old Testament will be specifically for someone even though I don't know them yet!!! But if we have an empty tank then the spirit is very limited as to how he can work through us. So that is what I am working on right now.

Frankenstein on channel 9..... Scooby Doo on channel 2...... Buggs Bunny has lots of money......... Wow I cant believe I remembered all of that... Happy birthday dad. I love you so much... imagine in one more year I will bring you a better gift... me!!!!!!!!! hahaha That is so weird. I am already going downhill. Dad, I am so thankful for all that you have taught me and the dad that you are. You should be very proud of who you are and the family that you have. I know that your Heavenly Father is very pleased with all the work you have done in our family.
