Jess.............. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I couldn’t write you yesterday but anyway, ya, happy b-day. I can’t believe that you are already 15 and starting to drive and everything. Jess, I can’t wait to hear all about your games. I know you are going to dominate, keep me updated.
Well, that’s cool that Austin’s farewell went all good and it’s crazy that Ian can turn his papers in next month!!!
Well, we had an open house and we watched the restoration with a bunch of people and it reminded me of when we went to the sacred grove. That was amazing.
And Mike, the kids down here love Pogs. Oh, remember those good old days?
Well, a couple of weeks ago we had interviews with the Pres and with Hermana Saucedo. I love her, she is the best. Anyway, I didn’t think it would be that big of a deal but they give us a scripture to memorize for every week. I had been trying to do that. So, during the interview she asked me and my comp if we knew and he didn’t know but I did. Then I didn’t find out till later that I was the only elder in the whole mission to know the scripture for the week!! Is it really that hard? I don’t know. And I was the only one to write the Pres a re-commitment letter. Ya, no one else did that either. I am not trying to brag but, really the only one in the whole mission... that is pathetic. Anyway, we made some sweet t-shirts for our zone and I will send pics next week of it.
I don’t know what I want for Christmas. I don’t need anything. I don’t know if Anna could make a cd of some sweet remixes of the hymns or something. That would be pretty sweet.
So, I baptized for the first time this past week and it went pretty well. She was a big lady and I almost didn’t get her up but, luckily I had sluga to help me with that one. But, I didn’t really realize until after when I was writing in my journal the power that I hold and how sacred it is. I have the power to be able to baptize someone and they can become cleansed of all of their sins through the priesthood!!!! It really is unreal.
I also finished the BOM this past week too. And I have just realized this time around really what we have in front of us. John 5:39, we have eternal life right in front of us and I think we take that for granted and forget it. By reading and applying these words we can achieve eternal life.
Oh, and we met a sweet old guy in our ward who is a luchador or wrestler and is pretty much the sweetest old guy ever. I have some pics with our wrestling masks on, I will send those too next week.
I am legal now because we went to Guadalajara yesterday and finally got our visas, so all is good there. On the way back this guy was talking to his girlfriend on the phone in the bus next to me and was kissing in the phone for probably 30 minutes. I was going to kill myself it was so freaking annoying.
Well, the other night we sprinted home so we could get home by 9:30, it was pretty funny. But I really should get going. I love you all so much and it sounds like everything is crazy back home. Everyone is getting hitched and all that jazz. Anyway happy birthday again, Jess. I love you and miss you so much.
