Well, this week we found a way sweet family that is a mom and she has 3 kids. Her name is Mari Lou...and we found her on Saturday and she came to church on Sunday which hardly ever happens. She loved it. Her kids too loved it and she said she really has never had a religious background. We talked with her about baptism and she said she wanted to get to know the church first and so this week I think we are going to put a date with her and her kids and we will see what she says. Patricia went too with her kids. We just need to get her husband there. His name is Augustine. He is way smart and knows a lot about the Bible. They would be such a good family to have here in this ward.P ray for them. We are trying to focus on preaching and teaching with the spirit. It is hard many times focusing in on the lesson and really focusing on what the spirit wants to tell us but I love it because when I do strive to have the spirit in the lesson I am not the one teaching but the spirit is. I learn new things in the lesson that I didn't know before or my testimony in strengthened as I testify. That happened this last week. I was testifying about the BOM and I remembered how I received revelation through the BOM in my hard times that I had last week when I felt really down. My testimony was strengthened and I talked about how this book can help us to answer any question or solve any problem that we have.
Well they joined 2 zones together so now we are a mega zone and the goal for the zone this month is 79 baptisms. We have put 8 for our area. we are striving and working our hardest to be able to find those who are ready to accept and go to church. We will need to make some sacrifices so that we can achieve it but it definitely is possible. We just need to trust that the Lord will lead us to these families and people who are waiting for us.
Well mom, in answer to your question, I have been writing almost every day in my journal even though sometimes it's a little and if I don't I try to remember what happened the day before, but I will let you know when I need the other one that I have. Remember that I have another journal there. But I was thinking this week that it is crazy that I have 13 months already-I cant believe it. it goes by so fast.
I will try to take more short videos because if I take long videos there is not enough memory to send it. But I will see what I can do. And yes, I did have Sister Thomas as my seminary teacher. She looks like a hobbit right?? Ya if she does that's her.
I would like it if you could pray specifically for Patricia, Augustine and their family so that we can put a baptismal date with them soon, and for Mari Lou and her kids so that she can accept the date as well and obtain a testimony of the truthfulness of these things. And also we are teaching someone called Joaquin-ask for him too that he can understand all that we teach him because he speaks a dialect and doesn't speak Spanish that well, but he wants to know which of the churches is right. He is like 25 years old. And so that I can better recognize the whisperings of the spirit to be able to be guided to those who are prepared, not just me but my companion too-he needs it a lot after talking with him of some things in his life. Thank you so much for support. I was reading my setting apart from Pres. Broadbent the other day and he said that the prayers of my mom would sustain me in hard times and I have felt that. Thanks mom. And he also said that my dad would write me wise council and dad, you have given me many scriptures that I needed when I was feeling down. Thanks-I can see that promise coming true day after day.
