Week 43 in Mexico

Guadalajara

Well, I am here with my new companion, Elder Lugo. He has about 6 months in the mission and I have heard that he is really obedient which is good. That means together we can accomplish so much more and not have so many problems when it comes to the little things of obedience. I am pretty excited for this change because we have a lot who are progressing but there are just a few things that they need to do, and a few things they need to sacrifice to be able to take that step and get baptized, but they just wont take it. Please join with me in a fast this Sunday for this area and the hearts of these people. So that they can recognize the spirit and so that they can feel and know that this is true and have the desire to change. We went to Applebee's today in the morning so you might see that on the credit card but it didn't cost that much. That was kind of my birthday thing. By the way i have not received my package yet and so that means I won't get it until the next month. So that kind of sucks but whatever. Well my birthday was pretty much just a normal day of work. But some investigators invited us to Carne Asada for my birthday and because Elder Sevier was leaving so it turned out pretty well. But it was a pretty normal day. But ya I am officially 20!!! That is so weird. But I feel just the same, just a little bit fatter, or more fat, whatever is correct. I don't know, Mrs. Allred didn't help me at all.

But I started crying when I read all that stuff about Grandpa Bennett, but it seems like he has given it his all and it's time for a rest as mom says. Mom, I love you so much and know that just as Anna said he will be there with her, with me and with everyone cheering us on from above. But oh how I wish I could hear him talk one more time about my chubby cheeks and my big shoulders--I would give about anything. I always loved that and he would grab my cheeks and my shoulders. I read a couple of weeks ago in D&C 138, I think it is, that talks about the spirit world. I read all the people that are there preaching the gospel. You have to read it to see all the people that are preaching!!! Joseph Smith, Noah, Brigham Young, all those guys.... so I have hope that they can teach better than anyone here on this earth. And they can teach grandpa the things maybe that he had not noticed before. The best teachers are there. Keep your hopes up, mom. One day we will be able to do the work for him in the temple and we can know that there is more than just this life.

I love you all so much. I have to get working because it is late. Love you so very much.
