Week 3 in Mexico

Puerto Vallarta

Ok, so I am sooooo pissed right now because I just wrote a huge email and I tried putting pics on but it erased my whole thing so I don´t know how much I will be able to get done here. But we went to Nuevo Vallarta today so I couldn’t print off your email this morning and then come back later and answer it, I had to read it all here. We went to a member of the counselors home in the mission or something I don´t really know but his house is huge!!! But, walked in the back yard and he has a big pool there that I almost fell into, not on purpose of course, and he had two boats just chillin behind his house in a river. He had a mini soccer field and a basketball court. We played some ball, it was way fun. It is so freakin hot right now, I am still drenched right now from it but it's all good. it was worth it. but everything here is going pretty good. I am understanding a lot more everyday. I don´t know if I am speaking much better cause I have not been talking much. My comp still does a lot of the teaching but I think I could do a little more of it. My patriarchal blessing has helped me a lot this week. Jess, when are you going to get yours??? They are soooo cool. So yesterday we were supposed to have 4 investigators come to church and not one of them came cause they were sick or had work. But a lot of Elders just said get used to that because a lot of people here will say that they will do just about anything, like a commitment, but when we follow up, nada. So I have been reading in pmg about making and helping them keep commit. But I still can´t say much to them to help.

Well, apparently Bob Barker has not made it down here because all the dogs have not spaide or nudered, how ever you spell it. They just run around I don´t know where they all come from. I read a talk by Uchdorf from the last conference this week it's called we are doing a great work and cannot come down it is sooo good and gets me pumped up.

Well what I eat is usually cereal if anything in the mornings because for lunch we eat with a member everyday and they stuff you until you are going to explode. You think you are done and then they bring something else out. I am forced to eat a lot of healthy green stuff here in my salads that I probably wouldn’t choose to eat at home because they basically just sit there and watch you and won't bring you the next part of the meal until you lick your plate clean but it's all good. No, mom we can´t eat tacos from the street. Pres told us not to do that, but I have heard that they are so good. And yes, all of the water is bottled. So that’s good I don´t think I have to worry about that. But yes, I am sleeping with my fan every single night, and I think I am getting more used to the heat. Ya, it's fun living with other Elders. Elder Dorflin is pretty funny and way nice. But it's kinda weird because you think that them being the zone leaders and everything, they would go to bed on time but, no. That’s not how it is. I am usually the only one in bed at ten thirty. I don´t know what they do. But yesterday we came back from eating and they busted out monopoly and asked if I wanted to play and I was thinking, are you serious?, and I went and read the BOM out loud which helps a lot with Spanish and everything. I have heard that is one of the quickest ways to learn and grow.

Well, I think I am going to buy a zip drive for all my pics because Elder Dorflin said that the computers here are way too slow to send or do any of that stuff. So for now that is the plan. No, mom i have no idea what my real address is and it's probably not safe to send stuff straight here anyways. Just send it to the mission home, I will get it eventually. And I saw a Princess ship docked close to one of my areas. I'm not sure exactly where. Oh ya, and sometimes for comp study my comp likes to start out by singing a hymn and I just crack up because he is so bad. It’s unreal. Also when we teach a family usually the dad will just be sitting there with his shirt off. I guess that is just what they do here. Oh ya, and there have been a couple of rain storms here and it's so nice do get drenched every once and a while cause it's so hot. But this is the part of the year when it starts to cool down so that’s good news. I am trying to think of the weirdest person I have met. ........ there was one time we were on a bus and this old guy got on and just started singing as loud as he could. I am not sure if he was all there or not but it was pretty funny. We have something like 90 bucks for the month to spend and I didn´t budget very well or at all. I had no idea what to expect I hope I make it through. I still have your pesos, and some American dollars but there is no where to turn them in for pesos. I have spent some of the pesos you have given me too. That is awesome that Anna is getting ready to turn her papers in, we could get home close to the same time. That would be way cool. Well, I love you so much and can feel all of your prayers. I know I need them more than ever right now. Jess, when does basketball start? Just tell what you are doing in your life. Anyways, I love you so much and I pray for you every day. I hope all is well back home. I think I will be able to print your email out in the morning next week and then answer it later on, so I hope that works cause I don´t want to sit here on the computer and waste time and money that I don´t have. God be with you till we meet again.!!
